The best part is that it is easy and will give you peace of mind.

The Estate Planning Process

First: The Worksheet

The most important thing needed to begin the estate planning process is your information. I will send you my estate planning packet which will provide me with everything I need to set up your estate plan. Every person is unique just as every estate plan is unique. During this process, you will begin thinking about:

Your things, their distribution, and their care in the event of incapacity

  • Who do you want to have your things?
  • Who do you trust to distribute them?
  • Who can take care of your property should you be unable to do so yourself?

Your care and care for your child(ren)

  • Who do you want to make healthcare decisions for you should you be unable to do so yourself?
  • Who do you want to care for your minor child(ren) should the unthinkable occur?

Directives that will take the pressure off of your children

  • Do you want to be kept alive through extraordinary means if you are in a vegetative state?

Second: The Initial Meeting

After you have filled out the worksheet, schedule a meeting. At this meeting we will go over everything: your goals, your family, and your needs. This is where we can discuss everything. I will answer all of your questions and come up with a plan for your situation to meet your particular needs.

Third: Drafting & Approval of Drafts

After the initial meeting, I will draft your documents. You will get a draft of those documents to read and approve. Revisions will be made if needed.

Fourth: Final Signing Meeting

We will meet to sign and notarize all of your documents.
